With a three-year-old to support and no money, Lindsey Telford needs a plan—fast. An ad for a baking contest offers salvation: the local librarians line up for her cookies, and her friends never let a celebration go by without one of her cakes.

 

The $10,000 prize will pay more than a few bills for herself and her daughter, but the competition pits Lindsey against the best bakers in town, one of whom just happens to have stolen her heart. And some fellow contestants will stop at nothing to win.
